About The Event
MBSR - Mindfulness based stress reduction developed in 1979 by Jon Kabat Ziinn is the original template for the research in mindfulness and why mindfulness is now a part of our everyday lives. Those of you who have joined me on that journey know full well the positive impact and the challenge of staying consistent in day-to-day practice. Maybe you have continued and developed the habit, maybe you have lost your momentum, or maybe you never took the MBSR class. No matter, this is the class for you to 'begin again'. I have compiled my many years of training in the fields of mindfulness, neuroscience, behavioral & somatic psychology, anxiety, stress, well-being & happiness with the top thought-leaders and researchers such as, Jon Kabat Zinn, Richie Davidson, Judson Brewer, Dan Siegel, and many more, to provide a class that might help you explore best practices that will support your well-being.
8 weeks - 2.5 hours weekly - 1 full practice day (November 3 10 am-5 pm) Total of 27 hours of immersion
Each week will have a short didactic frame, followed by practice, and community engagement - (percentage of learning frame 15/60/25)
You will receive Audio to support your challenge of implementing practices at home
By the end of the program you will have explored directly evidence-based practices and will have developed your own 'pocket guide' of what type and 'dose' of practice you will embed into your daily living
